Creative Direction Through Nature
An editorial branding session exploring atmosphere, nature and creative identity.
Some creative projects feel less like a photoshoot and more like stepping into someone’s world for a moment.
This session with Anima Garden was created around the idea of evolution, a new chapter for the brand, moving beyond traditional gardening into a more thoughtful and elevated creative direction.
Surrounded by the softness of the Mt Coot-tha dome, we focused on creating imagery that felt calm, grounded and intentional. More than portraits, the goal was to capture atmosphere, the connection between nature, movement and the way plants can completely transform how a space feels.
We approached the session with an editorial eye, blending natural portraits with quieter moments of observation, texture and storytelling. The result was a collection of imagery designed to feel both refined and deeply connected to nature.
One of my favourite parts of this session was exploring the contrast between softness and structure, organic textures against architectural lines, movement against stillness, and the subtle emotion carried through black & white imagery.
Creative branding sessions like this are always a reminder that strong visual storytelling is never just about how something looks, but how it feels.
