You have everything you need in one spot: warm and welcoming staff who genuinely love kids, delicious food, and that relaxing, effortless vibe that Bali does so well. It’s also one of the few places where I feel completely safe to surf — the Keramas beach break is powerful yet friendly, with soft sand and manageable coral. The waves? Absolutely world-class.

Then there’s the garden — a tropical haven of palms and lush greenery that completely wins my heart every time. Add in the kids club, rejuvenating massages, outdoor movie nights, and daily yoga and HIIT classes, gym, and you’ve got a place that’s impossible not to fall in love with. I’m probably forgetting something, but you get the idea — Komune is the kind of place that just keeps calling you back.

Dylan and the Ducks

Every morning and afternoon, a local walks the ducks along the beach — a simple, charming ritual that quickly became one of our favourite sights. Of course, Dylan couldn’t resist joining in. He makes friends wherever he goes, and it was no different with these adorable ducks. Watching him run alongside them at sunset, was one of those little Bali moments we’ll never forget.

The pool is amazing, set right in front of the waves, and you could see how thrilled Dylan was the moment he jumped in.
